IM - System Engineer

As an IT System Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting technical infrastructure in a Microsoft Windows environment. You will work closely with colleagues in the ICT department to ensure the stability, security, and performance of our systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting and maintaining LAN/WAN networks.
• Installing and configuring hardware and software.
• Monitoring network security and system stability.
• Troubleshooting incidents via the servicedesk (Jira).
• Maintaining documentation and inventory.
• Optimizing system architecture and performance.
• Creating and deploying system images and software packages.
• Providing internal training and “train the trainer” sessions.
• Participating in an on-call rotation outside office hours.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor-level thinking and working skills (degree in Applied Computer Science is a plus).
• Minimum 1 year of experience within the WEngage IT team.

Technical knowledge:

• Windows Server & Client OS
• Microsoft 365 (Azure, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Entra ID)
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, IIS
• PowerShell, SQL Server, LAN/WAN
• Backup systems

Nice to have:

• Certifications in relevant IT domains (e.g. Windows Server, Networking, VOIP)
• Knowledge of Palo Alto, Cisco, Linux

Language skills:

• Excellent command of English (spoken and written) is essential.
• Good knowledge of French or Dutch is required.
